Prepare for battle by heading to the middle table in HQ and selecting a mission from the available list.

Choose a mission aligned with your Combat Power (CP). For a greater challenge, opt for missions with a higher CP requirement (indicated by the red CP recommendation).

After selecting the mission, follow the arrow to the gate and await the countdown. Players will then be deployed to complete the mission.

The loadout table will give you access to all available characters and any unique variants of these characters that you have access to.

Players can choose from 6 unique heroes, each equipped with abilities and stats tailored for both solo missions and cooperative play.

To view detailed stats and abilities for each hero, click the left mouse button (or the corresponding button on your controller).

Search for Steam on your Web Browser and Download the Steam App Client

Search for Steam on your preferred web browser or go to https://store.steampowered.com/about/ to download the Steam application. Once downloaded, open the application and follow the instructions to install Steam. You may also need to create a Steam account if you do not already have one.

Search for “RIFTSTORM: Alpha Playtest” in the Steam Store

Once you have already created a Steam account, you can search the store page for: "RIFTSTORM: Alpha Playtest" to sign-up for Playtest Access.

Once access is granted, you will find the game in your Library.

Select the game from your Library and Install the game.

HOW TO ACCESS THE ACCESSIBILITY SETTINGS

Click on the "ESC" button on your keyboard or the Menu button on your gamepad to access the menu. Click on Settings.

Key features of the Portal include:

• Daily Login: Log in daily to earn EXP and Protocol Points for use across the Occultical ecosystem. Keep your consecutive log-in streak alive and earn more rewards.

• Assignment Dashboard: Complete game and ecosystem based quests to earn EXP and other rewards.

By completing quests and assignments, players will accumulate:

• Clearance Points: Clearance Levels are the primary measure of access to the Fict One: Occultical Universe. Gather Clearance Points to increase your Clearance Level to gain access to exclusive content, products, and other systems.

• Protocol Points: A primary point system that can be redeemable for unique rewards across the Occultical ecosystem.

• Experience: Level up your Confiction Account and earn exclusive Confiction rewards as we expand the Confiction Labs suite of products.

The Forge Center is a crucial hub within RIFTSTORM, providing two key functionalities: crafting weapons and salvaging weapons. These features allow players to enhance their arsenal and efficiently manage resources, shaping their playstyle and combat readiness.

Crafting Weapons

At the Forge Center, players can craft new weapons through two approaches:

1. Random Weapon Crafting: Players can select to craft a random weapon, using available materials and credits.

2. Specific Weapon Crafting: Alternatively, specific weapons can be crafted by utilizing weapon blueprints, which are obtained by completing missions.

When crafting, players also have the ability to customize the CP potential (Combat Power) and set a minimum rarity for the crafted weapon. However, crafting weapons with higher CP potential and rarity requires more materials and credits. This allows players to strategically choose between conserving resources or investing in more powerful equipment to tackle tougher missions.

Salvaging Weapons

Players can also salvage weapons they’ve acquired through missions. By salvaging unwanted or redundant weapons, valuable resources are collected, which can then be used for future crafting or other in-game advancements. This feature helps manage inventory efficiently, ensuring that each weapon serves a purpose, either in combat or as a source of materials.

It's time to equip your Weaver with the right gear. Select your primary and secondary weapons from a diverse selection available in your arsenal.

As you equip each weapon, observe icons in the bottom-left corner indicating other Weavers using the same weapon. This enhances coordination during co-op missions and maximizes team firepower.

A Confiction Labs Account is a key component of the RIFTSTORM ecosystem. While it’s not required to play the game, creating an account provides access to additional features, such as progression tracking and exclusive rewards. Below are instructions for both new and existing users.

For New Players (without a Confiction account)

Players can start playing without an account—one will be created automatically during gameplay.

Protocol Points: Rewards and Redemption in RIFTSTORM Playtest #3

Participants in RIFTSTORM Playtest #3 will earn Protocol Points by completing assignments and claiming rewards through the assignments dashboard. These points act as a valuable currency within the Confiction Labs ecosystem, providing players with the ability to unlock and redeem future rewards.

What Are Protocol Points?

Protocol Points are accumulated through the completion of in-game and ecosystem-related assignments. They can be redeemed for both In-game Item Rewards and Web3 Item Rewards,

Engage in cooperative missions by either creating a party or joining an existing one.

From a party

To initiate a party, navigate to Create Lobby. Select the mission difficulty and adjust lobby visibility settings (public or private).

Invite friends using an invite code or through Steam’s invite system to join your team.

Join Public Lobby

For those seeking new allies, join a public lobby. Opt for this choice to be paired with other players, united in tackling challenging missions together.

INTRODUCTION

RIFTSTORM will release an exclusive Alpha playtest on Steam from October 16 (7 PM PT) to October 29 (7 PM PT).

• This Alpha version of the game will feature a short 3-mission campaign, five Weavers (playable characters) to choose from, and test in-game player decisions.

• Participating in the playtest and completing the playtest mission on Portal will earn players exclusive rewards.
